I Surrender Meaning

I Surrender is a simple song but has a wonderful meaning. This song is by Hillsong that appears on the album Cornerstone released in 2012.

Surrendering yourself to God is an awesome worship. You are able to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. True worship may experience your relationship with Him and find healing in your soul, spirit and also experience the physical healing.

There is no place that is safer and  humble place that gives you a peace but with God, we  can experience all of this. The song also means that there is no better place to be than in surrendering  before the throne. Surrender is a not a one day decision but it is a lifetime choice. He is our God.  I surrender to Him.

Lyrics:

Here I am
Down on my knees again
Surrendering all
Surrendering all

Find me here
Lord as You draw me near
Desperate for You
Desperate for You

I surrender

Drench my soul
As mercy and grace unfold
I hunger and thirst
I hunger and thirst

With arms stretched wide
I know You hear my cry
Speak to me now
Speak to me now

I surrender
I surrender
I want to know You more
I want to know You more

Like a rushing wind
Jesus breathe within
Lord have Your way
Lord have Your way in me

Like a mighty storm
Stir within my soul
Lord have Your way
Lord have Your way in me

Psalm 37:7-9 – “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil. For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.”
