Anchor Meaning

In the midst of trouble it is nice to have a song like Anchor that we can sing as a declaration that God is higher and greater. His word is unfailing and His promises is our hope. This song can help to encourage people when in hard and tough situations. Anchor is a song written by Dean Ussher and Ben Fielding. It is inspired by Hebrews 6:19.It appears on the album Glorious Ruins and released in 2013.

There is always hope in every promises of the cross. God gave everything to save the world. We have a new hope everyday because of His death and He paid all our debt. God is our lifeguard because our world is already submerged us to an oceans of sins. God can walk on waters, He rescued us and we are saved from our sins. By His death we can live and by His stripes we are healed. Always hold to our Anchor -God. Hallelujah.

Lyrics:

I have this hope
As an anchor for my soul
Through ev’ry storm
I will hold to You

With endless love
All my fear is swept away
In ev’rything
I will trust in You

There is hope in the promise of the cross
You gave ev’rything to save the world You love
And this hope is an anchor for my soul
Our God will stand unshakable

Unchanging One
Who was and is to come
Your promise sure
You will not let go

Your Name is higher
Your Name is greater
All my hope is in You
Your word unfailing
Your promise unshaken
All my hope is in You

Hebrews 6:19“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain”

  1. Thank you. Hope is what we have to share. Jesus is the answer. People are fearful in this world. We can direct them to the one who casts out fear and gives hope.
