Hosanna Meaning

Hosanna is a song by Hillsong United that appears on the album Savior King released in 2007. This song is really amazing both lyrically and musically. “Hosanna” is the theme of the song which means God save us and we must give the highest praise and it serves as acknowledgement to  Him that He is our Savior and God.

When you hear this song you must realize that only God can heal our heart and make it clean because He is perfect, pure and holy! This song also asking God, to help us to love His love and hates what He hates. We are His. He created us, purchased us and He deserves our everything. One day we will enter Heaven and we will live eternally with God. Earth is not our home we are only born in this world but we are destined for Heaven.

Praise our Lord! Hosanna! God saved us. He is the only one that could give satisfaction and deserving of the Praise. Hosanna in the Highest!

Hosanna, Hosanna
Hosanna in the highest (x2)
Hosanna in the highest

Verse 1
I see the King of glory
Coming on the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes, the whole earth shakes
I see His love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing, the people sing

Hosanna, Hosanna
Hosanna in the highest

Verse 2
I see a generation
Rising up to take the place
With selfless faith, with selfless faith
I see a near revival
Stirring as we pray and seek

We’re on our knees, we’re on our knees

Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like You have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks Yours
Everything I am for Your Kingdom’s cause
As I walk from earth into eternity

Matthew 21:9“And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
