Open The Eyes Of My Heart Meaning

Open The Eyes Of My Heart is a song written by Paul Baloche and this is based on Ephesians 1:18. This Contemporary Christian song has also been recorded by Michael W. Smith

Open the eyes of my heart is an figurative language. It means You must open your spiritual eyes, dwells with your hearts and focused on God’s Spirit. This song says that you want to be near with God and be with Him. You want to stay God in your life and live with your heart. Open the door of your life and allow God to come and stay because He is Holy! He can tell and shower the fullness of His power and glory to our soul. No one can actually seen God with actual human eyes so you must open the eyes of your heart so that you can see Him lifted up, know that no one can higher that him, nothing can compare to his greatness and glory .

Again, the lyrics says, we will experience the holiness of our God by our spiritual eyes and heart – the power and love of God.

Thank you for your mercy and love God! Pour your power, greatness and love as we sing holy, holy holy! Amen.

Lyrics

Open the eyes of my heart Lord,
Open the eyes of my heart,
I want to see You. I want to see You. (2x)

To see You high and lifted up,
Shining in the light of Your glory.
Pour out Your power and love,
As we sing holy, holy, holy.

Holy, holy holy. Holy, holy, holy.
Holy, holy, holy, I want to see You.

Ephesians 1:18 “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.”

  1. Hi,

As I read your post, I thought of how we really need to know that the eyes of our hearts can only be truly opened by God’s word… Therefore, we must always abide in God’s word, and let His word abide in our hearts and minds… That means that studying God’s word allows God to work in our hearts, so that we can learn all that He wants to teach us — not just bits and pieces of someone else’s choosing… We want all of God’s word in our hearts — not just little bits… That shows love and respect for our Creator Redeemer.

    Have a great day.
    Margaret
